The best smoothies after a long run should be able to aid recovery and be easily digestible. This would include adding easily digestible proteins into your smoothie.

Smoothie for runners

Here are two of our favourite rand very simple recipes:

 

Banana Nutty Smoothie

1 banana

1 tsp peanut butter

200ml of unsweetened almond milk

3-5 strawberries

Put all ingredients in blender and blend well

 

Coco- Berries Smoothie

1/2 cup frozen blueberries

200ml coconut milk

1/2 cup greek yoghurt

1 tsb ground flaxseed

Put all ingredients in blender and blend well
